Background information on GoFantasyMotorsports:

Please allow me to introduce myself as the owner of GoFantasyMotorsports and GoFantasyDragRacing.com. My name is Joe Wingate, and like the founder of GoFDR - Forrest Seek, I am a life long, die-hard drag racer and fan of the world's fastest sport! I was at the opening of Carlsbad Raceway, the last drag race at Orange Co. International Raceway, the last Supernationals at the Ontario Motor Speedway and made the last pass in my B/MP '67 Camaro at the last points meet ever held at Irwindale Raceway. My racecar is gone, as are all of the drag strips mentioned above, but my love of the sport has kept me involved now for over forty years.

I've worked for numerous performance and aftermarket companies, including Moroso, B&B Performance, Hastings Filters, Competition Friction and Raybestos. I've owned an auto parts warehouse (GoFDR founder Forrest Seek was our manager) and now work as a consultant for The Great American Group where we have handled projects involving the Super Shops, Chief Auto Parts, Holley, Simpson, Cragar, Parts Plus, CarQuest, Midas, Wheel Country, AutoZone, American Racing and many more. I also own Action Sales and Marketing and Pro Parts Sales, companies that are involved in the Automotive Aftermarket and the performance industry in various capacities; including sales, appraisals and asset management.

I've participated in Fantasy Football and Fantasy NASCAR, but Fantasy Drag Racing is my major interest. I was the winner of the inaugural GoFDR race in August of 2001 and have been involved every since. Where else can you "own" a team of over 335 mile per hour Top Fuel and Funny Cars, 209 mile per hour Pro Stocks and six-second Pro Stock Motorcycles for less than six dollars per race!!!

When the opportunity to purchase GoFDR came up at the beginning of 2004, I jumped at the chance. The only down side is I no longer get to play. The founder, Forrest Seek, built GoFDR based on honesty and honoring the commitments he made to the participants. When I bought the site, I received no contact information (e-mails, phone #'s, etc.) because Forrest said he would never "sell" your contact information. I will continue that policy and protect you from unwanted invasions of your privacy.

GoFDR's highest priorities are to enhance your enjoyment of NHRA Drag Racing, reward your skills of predicting the event winners and surprise performances, and to increase the number of participants so that we can increase the payouts.
