The neon lights were bright as Larry Dixon, Gary Densham, and Ron Krisher celebrated victory at the SummitRacing.com Nationals in Las Vegas on Sunday. Amongst the confetti, GoFDR player Allen Smith was also high-kicking with a couple of showgirls as he nabbed the top spot in our game.

Allen, of Cleveland, Ohio, scored 687 points en route to the victory. John Grissom took the runner-up position with 670 points, while Jay Cason, Jon Peloquin, Ken Trichak rounded out the top-five here at GoFantasyDragRacing.

Our winner this week used clever strategy by looking at all the cards (i.e. qualifying) to select the top scoring team this week. In fact, Smith picked the winners of all three classes! The remainder of the top-5 all took a more risky gamble; opting for the fifty-point Pre-Qualifying Bonus by selecting earlier in the week.

In a rather bizarre set of circumstances, it seemed our race here at GoFDR was a heated battle between players from California and Texas. Nine out of our top-10 players represented one of those two states (four from CA, five from TX). The only top-10 finisher not from those two states was our Ohioan winner, Allen Smith!

This week was a big week for players who opted to play multiple teams. Thirteen of the eighteen team owners who placed in the top-25 entered the game two or more times. That's not a bad strategy at this point, considering that GoFDR is still paying out more than we take in. Another incentive to play is that anyone can win money here at GoFDR. This week the rookies took 6 out of the top-10 spots!
