For the second race in a row, weeping skies threatened this past weekend's NHRA Drag Racing festivities. But when the clouds finally cleared and the cars took to the track, both Denise Crenshaw and the racing was fast and furious in Englishtown, NJ.

This was Crenshaw's very first win in our game after being a very consistent player dating all the way back to last year. She scored an even 700 points to take top honors while Dave Bell fell in just 5 points behind her in the runner-up position. Bill Ralls, Allen Smith, and Bob Campbell rounded out our top-five finishers this week.

Denise's team selections showed both profound insight and a little bit of luck to secure the top spot. As of late, to win at our game, a player must select at least two winners and two runner-ups on their team to keep themselves in the running.

Denise managed to win with two winners and only one runner-up, mostly due to a 50-point pre-qualifying bonus and her choice of Angelle Savoie. Savoie scored an extra 20 points for the National Record in Pro Stock Bike this week, and that 20 points bumped Denise from a respectable finish to our overall winner this week!

GoFantasyDragRacing.com extends their congratulations to Denise on her fine showing against a crop of hungry rookies who took eight out of the top-ten spots.

Denise, as well as many other players, took advantage of some very good bargains on our price list. Pro Stock's Greg Anderson secured a runner up finish at the last race and topped that off this week with a win. Many players had foresight enough to grab Anderson at a very affordable price tag of $390,000. Meanwhile, Bruce Sarver (valued at basement price of $250,000) is a steal after replacing Gary Scelzi in the Toyota Funny Car.

These highly appealing, low-priced drivers save our team owners enough money that they can then invest their dollars in a few more of the big names at the top of the list. Larry Dixon and Kenny Bernstein are prime examples in Top Fuel. These two hot shoes tend to deliver a one-two punch on a regular basis and really helped boost this weeks winner and several others to the money rounds.

GoFDR enjoys watching our players pick up on all these little nuances of NHRA Drag Racing in order to make our game more competitive and a lot more fun to play. But, to keep you guessing, we will be adjusting driver values following the Topeka race this weekend.
