On a weekend that brought a couple of surprise winners and some dream match-ups in the finals, first year GoFDR player Dave Bell of Waco, TX bested a number of our game's most experienced players.

Bell's final tally came in at 671 points, including the pre-qualifying bonus. This was the rookie's first GoFDR win after securing the runner-up position on two separate occassions earlier this year. The veterans nipping at his heels included second place finisher Dave Ballinger with 666 points and Ken Trichak with 661. Meanwhile, past GoFDR race winners John Grissom and Jay Cason rounded out the top-five.

Once again our top-ten featured only two states exclusively. Six out of our top-ten players reside in the Lone Star state of Texas, while the other four featured resident Californians. The rest of our great country had to settle for just licking up the scraps!

Brainerd featured some high dollar match-ups in the finals. Kenny Bernstein and Larry Dixon faced off in top fuel, while John Force and Gary Densham went head-to-head in Funny Car. This made it difficult for GoFDR players to secure multiple winners this week as all of those drivers hold a price tag in excess of $1,000,000!

The real strategic moves paid off in Pro Stock and Pro Stock Bike. Jeg Coughlin upset the competition in Pro Stock, winning from the 15th qualifying spot while Geno Scali smoked his fellow Bike riders with near perfect lights against Angelle Savoie and Craig Treble.

With so many winners sitting at the top of our price list, Dave Bell was still able to secure the top spot with only two winners and one runner-up on his team. We extend our congratulations to Dave for a fine performance on a difficult weekend of racing!

Our next race will be the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. on 8-29 through 9-2. There will be 5 qualifying sessions. All classes will run. The deadline for the PreQualifying Selection Bonus will be Friday Aug. 30th at 2:45PM(PT) - 5:45PM(ET). The final deadline for team selection will be Monday Sept. 2nd at 6:30AM(PT) - 9:30AM(ET).
