For the first time since GoFantasyDragRacing came online in early August, we have a repeat winner in victory lane. Gary Talbott, of McMinnville, TN was able to overcome a day of peculiar upsets in the O'Reilly Fall Nationals to score 626 total points.

Two of Talbott's eight drivers scored wins, with one more as a runner up, and two more made into the semi-final rounds. He also scored the 40 point bonus for selecting his team prior to the start of first round qualifying. Those were some good picks Gary, congratulations!

Dennis Taylor of Florence, CO was this weekend's runner up with 615 points, scoring 11 less than Talbott. Players Mike Hedworth, Ken Trichak, and Greg Stucker rounded out the top five.

Alot of players took a beating with low scores this weekend, thanks to some rather peculiar upsets on Sunday. While Top Fuel and Pro Stock Truck were fairly predictable, Pro Stock and Funny Car were just the opposite.

In Pro Stock, Mike Edwards(#1 qualifier), and Jim Yates (#2 qualifier) were both gone in the first round of eliminations. Shortly thereafter, perennial favorites Warren Johnson and Bruce Allen were both eliminated in the second round. In Funny Car, Ron Capps (#3 qualifier) and Tony Pedregon (#4 qualifier) were eliminated in the first round, while favorite Whit Bazemore(#1 qualifier) was gone in the second round.

"It was a tough race to call," said Competition Director Forrest Seek.

There were only 21 players choosing a total of 43 teams this weekend at the O'Reilly Fall Nationals. A whopping 17 of those 21 players won cash! With odds like that, it is a wonder people aren't lined up like a John Force autograph session to join in the fun here at GoFantasyDragRacing.com.
