While Winston Rookie of the Year candidate Darrell Russell nabbed his second victory in top fuel this weekend at Las Vegas, GoFDR player Joe Wingate also snatched his own second victory of the season.

As respectable as Wingate's picks were for this weekend, he also proved just how easy it is to win here at GoFantasyDragRacing.com. Joe's team was comprised of only one winner, two runners-up and one semi-finalist. This proves that any player can step up and win at any time, whether they have won before or not!

Sunday's race did supply some upsets, but was fairly predictable for the most part. Many team owners took a beating in the first round when John Force surprisingly left the starting line before the tree was activated, thanks to a pre-early start by his opponent Bob Bode. Both drivers were disqualified by NHRA rules. Perennial favorite Mike Dunn was also gone after the first round.

Also gone early were Larry Dixon and Whit Bazemore, who lost in the second round. This week, no GoFDR team owner picked more than two winners on their teams. There were eighteen team owners who bought 38 different teams, thirteen of those won money. Out of the team selections, only three of those contained more than one winner.

In fact, two of our newest players landed in the top ten this week. Our 25th-place finisher consisted of no winners, only one runner-up, and two semi-finalists. Winning money is almost a cake-walk here at GoFDR!

The final race of the season is the Auto Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway on November 8th through 11th.
