The short winter off-season for NHRA Drag Racing is upon us. Come early February, the straight-liners will return to the track in Pomona, California. We here at GoFantasyDragRacing can hardly wait! We will be entering our second year of competition and have high expectations for 2002.

GoFDR ran eight races in 2001, paying out more than $8,000 in prize money! After tallying up the season's results, we found that 97% of our players actually won money. With odds like that, it is hard to lose here at GoFDR.

We here at GoFDR expected a slow start to our races, as is the case for all start-up Internet companies. It takes time to earn a customer's trust, and we believe we have taken huge strides in that direction in 2001. We proved that we are a legitimate company who honors their commitments and runs an exciting and fair game.

We never had more than 50 teams selected at any of the races last year, but we paid out the $1000 purse at every race we ran (at least double the money we collected). We will honor this guarantee once again, going into 2002.

Our goal in 2002 is to attract over 200 players and raise our purse to $2000 per event. Of course, we will need many new players to join in the fun each week to accomplish this. We encourage both current and prospective players to tell your friends about GoFantasyDragRacing, help us get the word out. The more players we have, the more money you can win!

Below we offer a quick glance at GoFDR's top twelve racers of 2001 and what they won and how they won it. Come join us in 2002 so your name can be on this list next year!

1. Joe Wingate, Mission Viejo, CA $1175.00
Joe scored two Wins, a Runner Up and one Top 5 finish. Joe ran an average of 5 teams per event - making him the King of multiple teams. Joe won $$$ at every single event we ran.
2. Gary Talbott, McMinnville, TN $1080.00
Gary scored 2 Wins and 4 Top 5 finishes. Gary also ran multiple teams at every race. He is a cagey veteran who ran in every race we ran.
3. John Walker, Pittsburg, PA $ 1070.00
John scored 1 Win, 1 Runner Up and 5 Top 5 finishes. John was another multiple team player. John scored more Top 5 finishes than anyone else. John also won $$$ at every race we had.
4. Shirley Dionne, Brunswick, ME $675.
Shirley was the top female racer in our competition. Shirley purchased an average of 2 teams per race. Her strategy was to choose one PreQualifying Team and another team after she checked out the qualifying. She scored 1 Win, 1 Runner Up and 1 Top 5. She scored a runner up finish at her second race.
5. Ken Trichak, Salida, CA $590.00
Ken scored 1 Runner Up and 3 Top 5 finishes. Ken is a serious racer who would have won more but he missed our first three races.
6. Allen Smith, Cleveland, OH $390.00
Allen won 1 race. He won on only his second race with us.
7. Jim Green, Simi Valley, CA $375.00
Jim scored 1 Runner Up and 2 top 5 finishes. Another talented racer who always took advantage of the PreQualifying Selection Bonus and always ran 3 teams. Jim didn't race the last 1/2 of our season or he would have won more.
8. Eric Gowdy, Portland, OR $360.00
Eric scored 1 Win. Eric also won in his second race with us.
9. John Ward, Strongsville, OH $325.00
John scored 3 Top 5 finishes. John is a consistant racer who won $$$ in every race he entered.
10. John Grissom, Amarillo, TX $310.00
John scored 1 Runner Up. John came into our competition late in the year but placed well.
11. Mike English, Wildomar, Ca $305.00
Scored 1 Runner Up. Mike wasn't able to run in every race but placed in the $$$ every time he did.
12. Jay Cason, Vista, CA $255.00
Scored 1 Runner Up. Another talented veteran who ran with us for every race.
